DEME Group organises 13 supply chain events to support UK offshore wind market

LONDON, UK | In order to strengthen local involvement in the UK offshore wind industry, DEME Group is organising a series of nationwide supply chain events to facilitate collaboration with local companies.  The events will be organised between November and December 2015 in cooperation with local business associations at 13 nationwide locations.

DEME Group’s involvement in the UK offshore business dates back to the early years of offshore wind. Through its operating companies GeoSea and Tideway, DEME Group has already worked on many projects like Greater Gabbard, London Array, Gwynt y Môr, Ormonde, Blyth, Walney I + II, Teesside, Humber Gateway, Rhyl Flats, Westermost Rough, West of Duddon Sands and Kentish Flats. As lifecycle expert, DEME’s subsidiary OWA (Offshore & Wind Assistance) successfully decommissioned the Docking Shoal met mast and has several ongoing maintenance contracts in UK waters.

As a leading company in the development, construction and maintenance of offshore wind farms, DEME Group is preparing new projects and contracts in the rapidly expanding UK offshore wind market. To increase UK manufactured content supplied to offshore wind supply chains, the company will host a series of supply chain events to give a clearer understanding of the scale and nature of future demand.

The UK Roadshow is supported by Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and GROW:OffshoreWind, a funding to suppliers of offshore wind market, in cooperation with local business associations. See below. Registration can be done via the respective links.
