MOU McLaughlin & Harvey and GeoSea signed
Belfast, 26 February 2014 – DEME’s marine engineering specialist GeoSea and McLaughlin & Harvey Ltd have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a period of 2 years to collaborate in the offshore installation works of wave and tidal turbines.
The wave and tidal industry is facing major challenges in evolving from a testing and demonstration phase to a commercially viable industry.
McLaughlin & Harvey Ltd and GeoSea share the ambition to push forward the industry by de-risking the installation processes and making projects bankable.
Both parties will explore joint installation opportunities by collaboratively uniting their respective experience and know-how. The companies will combine their cost-saving techniques, innovative equipment and high-tech vessels to develop optimised installation methods.
